Linda joined the Sanibel Public Library District Board of Commissioners when the District was formed. She served as Chair of the Board from 2006 to 2020. Linda earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a Library Science Minor from Shippensburg (PA) University and a Masters of Education from the University of Central Florida. Formerly an elementary school teacher and small business owner, her professional career also included time as District Deputy in the office of Congressman Porter Goss. She is also quite active in the community, having served on the boards of the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation, the United Way of Lee County, the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva and the Junior League of Fort Myers. She has a special interest in fundraising and created the Library Foundation's popular Lunch with the Author series. Linda and her husband Tom have been full time residents of Sanibel since 1977.

Sanibel Public Library District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Sanibel Public Library District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
